There are so many ways in which we network as individuals and businesses and I believe that most choose facebook for both. There are many artisans with a business page on facebook, using it to connect with clients, potential client and other artisans. I have found that it can be a great source of seeing what happens behind the scenes in the handmade world. You have the ability to post photos on anything you like, be it your work, inspiration and your work space. This is all so interesting to your audience. And if you have a faithful followers you can ask them for advice on your photos, new products, really anything and if you are in the giving mood thank them with some coupon codes.

So, onto how to connect your blog followers to your facebook page….

Open two browser windows, one to your blog with the tab of “Design” and subsection of “thesis option” selected. The other window should have your facebook page open. On the facebook page look at the options below the photo you chose for your page. Select “Promote with a fan box” and get ready for some copying and pasting. Select whether or not you want your widget to include your fans and feed and then click on the plus sign next to “other” in the section titled “Choose where to add the widget.” Now copy the code. Click yourself back to your blog page which should be open to “thesis options” and get ready to paste. Find the “custom media box code” on the right hand side of the page and decide where you want to paste the code. (Didn’t I tell you this box would be your best friend in regards to customizing your blog?) Most important of all…click on the “Big Ass Save Button!” Move your mouse to “visit site” and check out your internet savvy work.
